Ben Longoria:
Founder & CEO

Wizdocs, Inc. was founded with the singular mission of making corporate transactions and due diligence reviews more efficient and cost effective.
Ben Longoria, a Stanford University and Harvard Law School graduate with more than a decade of experience handling multi-billion dollar mergers and complex technology transactions, founded Wizdocs after becoming frustrated by the inefficiencies he experienced in his M&A practice. His vision was to create a company that could apply technology to automate the management, data analysis, report assembly, and administrative tasks associated with corporate due diligence.
Ben Longoria, founder and CEO of Wizdocs, has more than a decade of experience in law and technology and their integral roles in the process of mergers and acquisitions. Based on his cumulative experience as a practicing lawyer with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to major serial acquirers, he founded Wizdocs and created its comprehensive offerings of software to aid both law firms and corporations in the complex process of mergers and acquisitions.
Wizdocs' flagship product (DealManager™) allows law firms and companies to streamline diligence reviews while drastically reducing the amount of manual administrative work associated with the process. Currently, the web-based software is used by some of the world's leading law firms including Latham & Watkins LLP, Paul Hastings LLP, and Gilbert+Tobin to accelerate their M&A practices and control the costs associated with corporate diligence reviews.
Additionally, Longoria is the principal software architect for Wizdocs and an engineer with years of experience developing software solutions for large institutions including Harvard Law School and Stanford University. Longoria draws from his experience as a practicing attorney focused on counseling clients on intellectual property and the commercial and business aspects of complex mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. As a corporate and technology transactions attorney for Fenwick & West LLP, he represented sellers and acquirers in high technology mergers and acquisitions in numerous multibillion dollar acquisitions. Prior to Fenwick & West, he served as a transaction associate for O’Melveny & Myers LLP. While there, he focused on corporate governance, technology compliance matters and bank finance and negotiated and drafted credit and security agreements, guarantees and technology licenses.
Longoria earned his juris doctorate from Harvard Law School, where he served on the Faculty Information Technology Committee that oversaw technology used at the Ivy League college. In 2002, he was appointed to the American Bar Association Judicial Counsel and helped oversee the organization’s judicial division including federal, state, administrative and special court committees. He also participated in the ABA’s Council of Minority Judicial Affairs to promote minorities in the judiciary.
In 2000, he graduated with honors from Stanford University with a bachelor of arts in sociology. During the course of his studies, he was awarded the Stanford University Outstanding Achievement Award for academic achievement and volunteer service. Longoria is a member of the American Bar Association, the Alianza Mexican-American Club and the Harvard Mediation Program.
